Announce Redesigned HO6 Condo Policy

GeoVera Specialty (formerly USF&G Specialty) and Hull & Company N.P.L. have greatly enhanced their Florida HO-6 product designed for low rise condominiums and townhouses, three stories and less.

GeoVera Specialty’s enhanced product is designed for condos and townhouses ranging from
400 sq. ft. with builder grade improvements and economy furnishings all the way to custom
designed units with luxury furnishings.

Limits offered range from Coverage A of $10,000 - $200,000.;
Coverage C ranges from $25,000 - $300,000

In addition to the wide range of Coverage A and C limits offered, the following coverage enhancements are also available;

Option to increase Ordinance or Law Coverage from 10% to 25% of the Coverage A limit of liability
Option to increase Loss Assessment Coverage from $5,000 to $10,000
Option to reduce Personal Liability Coverage from $300,000 to $100,000
Seasonal / Secondary ACCEPTABLE
Change in method for developing replacement cost limit for coverage C – Personal Property.
Loss of Use issued at 20% of Coverage C.

GeoVera Specialty recognizes the difficulty in estimating the replacement cost of personal property. Therefore, they will now use the replacement cost estimator provided by Marshall & Swift/Boeckh. The value developed will be the minimum Coverage C limit. Your insured will have the ability to purchase additional insurance up to $300,000.

Some additional risk specific questions will be asked during the quoting process. These questions include:

Impact Resistant Glass
Number of levels in building
Unit located on what level in building
Total enclosed balcony square footage
Total open balcony square footage
Quality of real property (Builder Grade, Semi-Custom or Custom)
Quality of Personal Property (Economy, Standard or Luxury)
Shape of building (not a required field)
Number of units in building
Number of levels in the insured unit
Construction
Roof Shape
Siding (outer walls)
Unit square footage
Garage Type
Automatic Fire Sprinklers (full, partial or none)
