Alternate Payor Reminder

GeoVera Specialty Insurance Company has recently conducted a review of policy files. Upon review, they discovered that some agencies are listing themselves as Alternate Payors on the policy.  They also discovered that some premium finance companies are shown as Alternate Payors on the policy. 

This is a reminder that all policies are direct billed.  Agencies and Premium Finance companies are not acceptable alternate payors on any GeoVera Specialty policy. 

GeoVera Specialty will continue to monitor these transactions on a regular basis.   Please be advised that binder requests and policies will be subject to either cancellation or nonrenewal if it is discovered to be financed by a Premium Finance Company. 

GeoVera takes this matter seriously as there are legal and financial implications not only to the insured but also to their Company, Brokers and Agents.
